In 2026, we were working together at a large-scale chemical manufacturing site when we found ourselves involved in the shutdown and clearance of a major industrial laboratory. That experience changed everything.

We were working together at a large-scale chemical manufacturing site when the laboratory began its shutdown. Hundreds of pieces of equipment needed to be identified, disconnected, moved and either sold, reused or responsibly recycled.
From GC systems and mass spectrometers to titrators, vacuum pumps, laboratory furniture and consumables; it was a huge variety of equipment. Some still had significant value. Some could be useful to another laboratory. Some needed to be recycled.
We realised there had to be a better way; a more specialist, responsible and sustainable way to clear laboratories. Too much good equipment was being wasted simply because people didn't have the knowledge or network to find it a new home.
We took what we'd learned and built a business around helping organisations clear laboratories properly. Helping them recover value from surplus equipment and giving perfectly good instruments a second life.
We're helping laboratories across the UK, from manufacturers and universities to government and research organisations. We're helping them turn unwanted equipment into something useful again.
